Driving Towards a Greener Delivery Fleet

At Turner Price, we recognise that sustainability isn’t a single action — it’s an ongoing commitment. One of the most important ways we’re reducing our environmental impact is through continual investment in our delivery fleet.

Over recent months, we have updated 13 delivery vehicles, ensuring our fleet remains modern, economical, and environmentally responsible. All new vehicles are equipped with Euro 6 engines, the most efficient standard currently available, helping to significantly reduce emissions across our transport operations.

Our delivery fleet now totals over 80 vehicles and represents approximately 85% of our overall carbon emissions. With customers served across a wide geographical area — from north of Newcastle down to Loughborough — maintaining an efficient and reliable fleet is essential, not only for sustainability but also for the service our customers rely on every day.

To support this, we closely monitor vehicle performance through weekly MPG checks and continuously phase out older, less efficient vehicles. These are replaced with newer, lower-emission alternatives as part of a long-term strategy to improve fuel efficiency and reduce our environmental footprint.

Mike Bailey, Head of Transport at Turner Price, explains:

“We have an ongoing commitment to delivering the best possible service to our customers while actively reducing emissions. Updating our fleet is just one of the ways we’re making our operations greener and more efficient.”

This ongoing investment reflects our wider responsibility — to our customers, our people, and the environment. By improving efficiency and reducing emissions, we’re ensuring our delivery operations remain safe, reliable, and sustainable for the future.

At Turner Price, sustainability is built into how we operate — and our greener delivery fleet is a key part of that journey.
