Corporate Social Responsibility is our commitment to operating in an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable manner for all our stakeholders. We understand our responsibility and that of the wider industry, to the future of the planet as well as to our customers, employees and suppliers. Our commitment to CSR is upheld by 4 key values that capture our approach to responsible business practices: Collaboration, Customers, Climate and Community. At the centre of our ethos is a dedication to fostering strong connections with local communities as well as delivering products and services to customers that align with their environmental and social responsibilities. We also value collaboration with partners understanding that this is essential for driving positive change across all areas of our business and through the supply chain. Finally, Turner Price is unwavering in its dedication to addressing the global challenge of climate change, actively seeking innovative solutions to minimise our environmental footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future.

To achieve the goal of building a sustainable future it is important that we join forces with individuals, communities, and businesses. By collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders we can make a positive impact on the environment as together we have more power to create a bright future. We collaborate with ClimatePartner to find ways to reduce our carbon emissions, menu management software providers like Kafoodle to offer value added services to our customers and are members of the Country Range Group to share best practice with industry partners. Internal stakeholders also work together on our Sustainability Committee to grow the company culture around CSR and increase awareness and participation.

Our customers’ priorities are our priorities. Whether offering sustainably sourced, local food products or supporting them on their sustainability journey, we put our customers’ needs at the forefront of our business. We work with suppliers that hold accreditations and memberships for sourcing ingredients ethically and sustainably ensuring full transparency for our customers. Our Development Chef also works with many customers at our Customer Innovation Centre, hosting themed culinary days that centre around sustainable food swaps, menu planning and recipe inspiration.

Protecting the environment for future generations is of paramount importance to us and we have a responsibility to provide a sustainable business for the future. We are working towards the UK government’s target of being a Net Zero business by 2050 by trialing innovative climate friendly solutions to reduce our Scope 1, 2 & 3 carbon emissions. We have also introduced measures over recent years to process the food and packaging waste we create in a responsible manner.

We recognise our duty to the local communities within Hull and the surrounding regions. We actively support charities, local partnerships, and initiatives that enhance the well-being of the communities they serve. We support communities through a initiatives such as the Turner Price Catering Club and regular donations to Food Banks and Hot Meal Centres. We are also proud supporters of Natasha’s Allergy Research Foundation (NARF) and offer schemes such as the Hospitality Action Employee Assistance Scheme to our employees.
Our Sustainability Committee plays a crucial role in championing our environmental and social responsibilities.
